ARAM

I dunno why it always happens to us but whenever Kenneth Cole and I travel, we get into Amazing Race Airport Moments.

At the new Bangkok Airport during a trip to Krabi, we managed to miss seeing the stairs that led down to the departure gates that led to the shuttle bus that will lead to the plane. The realisation happened only after we asked ourselves hey its boarding time, how come we still dun see more passengers at the lounge? Turned out the plane took off without us and the next flight out was 2 hours away. We got off lightly, considering that we are only missing a couple of hours of Krabi sun and with a chiding look from the female officer who could not resist a grin at our stupidity.

Needless to say, I now try to avoid transits for short haul trips.

For the trip to Hoi An, we were at the check-in counter 40 minutes before flight departure. Thinking that the internet check-in KC had done earlier would cover grounds, we were told by the officer that flight has closed. ARAM #1: Next flight out is 2 days away. A quick check on the system came up that we can still make the flight but our baggage probably wouldn't if we checked them in and we absolutely had to run to the departure gates now (and of course it had to be the furthest gate). ARAM #2: We split ways; KC, with both our bags, to quickly change money and I was to run to the gates first to stop the plane. Now I know what's the higher calling of those weekly jogs round the estate - to catch elusive flights. I reached the gate to find a family of eight still going through bag checks *phew* I'm glad those folks didn't pack light. We made the flight and the only casualties were four bottles of toiletries that was more than 100ml each.

For the flight back, we made sure we were exactly 2 hours at the airport before departure. Stuck with one measly duty free shop and uncomfortable seats, I'm not complaining.

hahha....

KP and I never get into ARAM, cos he is the time checker!

I am non sensitive to time.

By records, I have never missed a flight, but always begging to enter even though counter close.

Hmm....one of you needs to be a time checker then.
