Just a Jog

Today I went for a jog.

I loathe to jog. Took up the regime 2 years ago but only stuck to it religiously for a year. Nowadays I jog to accompany Kennth Coles or to blow off steam. Today, it was for the latter reason.

I was in love with a festival for 4 years. 10 to be exact. 6 years as an audience member and then the last 4 years as a punter. I traveled with it to Sri Lanka to see how beautiful it was 2 weeks before the tsunami; to South Korea to have live octopus; to Australia to taste Barossa Valley wines but I never have to travel beyond Singapore to see what the festival represents and the joy it brings to people.

No matter how we parted ways, it was still the best career high for me for 4 years running. The people who slogged behind-the-scenes with me to stage it were some of the most fiercely loyal friends I will ever meet. Today, I heard it being dissed and I didn’t have enough balls to stand up to defend my ex-love. So I can only jog.
